The KwaZulu–Natal Museum runs an Educator's Workshop twice a year. Recently, the Museum, in collaboration with the Department of Education, hosted an Educator's Workshop on subject of Heritage. The aim was to assist Educators in the subject of heritage that they teach at schools.
A representative from the Department of Education, Mr Jali, explained to the educators how they should deal with this section in schools and emphasized the importance of teaching learners about our heritage. The KZN Museum staff conducted presentations on Tangible and Intangible Heritage, and the significance of heritage days that are celebrated in this country. The workshop was a huge success and was attended by 83 educators.
