At the end of July, the Natural Science Department of the KwaZulu-Natal Museum bid farewell to Thando Malevu, an HSRC-DSI intern who has been working at the museum for the past two years. Thando has gained valuable work experience in both the entomology and wet collections. She has been on several field trips, learning how specimens are collected and processed. She has also gained experience in the use of databases and looking after natural history collection specimens. The staff of the Natural Science Department will miss her and we wish her well with her future plans.
